We also wanted to solve a problem.
A.J. had spent years trying different beard and grooming products, but too many missed the mark. Some worked well but came in the same predictable combinations of vanilla, wood, and smoke. Others smelled good in the bottle but didn’t make him feel like he was wearing a complete, put-together fragrance.
Then there was another problem: even when a guy found a beard oil he liked, he still had to search for a cologne that worked with it. Add a beard balm, moisturizer, or another grooming product, and suddenly he could be wearing three or four competing scents.
Most hardworking men don’t have the time—or the desire—to become fragrance experts just to smell put together.
That’s where Drop Zone comes in.
We created a complete grooming system for our bearded brothers, blue-collar workers, veterans, tradesmen, fathers, and everyday guys who want to look good and smell great without doing all the legwork themselves.

Meet the Founders
We’re A.J. and Christina Burr—a husband-and-wife team who wanted to create a business that combined our different experiences, perspectives, and strengths.
A.J. served more than a decade in the U.S. Army, beginning his career as an enlisted Military Police Soldier before becoming a Field Artillery officer. During four overseas deployments, he learned the importance of preparation, attention to detail, and taking care of the people beside you.
Those lessons stayed with him long after he hung up the uniform. They helped shape the standards behind Drop Zone: make products with a purpose, stand behind what you create, and never forget the people you serve.
Christina brings her own leadership, perspective, and steady hand to the company. As a Black woman entrepreneur, wife, mother, and co-founder, she has helped turn an idea into a brand that represents both of us. She brings a different point of view to the table, challenges ideas when they need challenging, and helps ensure Drop Zone is welcoming to more than one type of customer.
Drop Zone Grooming Company is proudly veteran-owned and minority-owned, but those labels are more than badges for our website. They represent the two people, two perspectives, and shared purpose behind the company.
